Search for the empanada

I am a regular visitor for tea at La Fe Cafe & Bakery on 64th Street, Woodside  With a grade A rating, their desserts are tempting & drinks are decently cheap. I tried their empanadas since this is supposedly authenthic. Encapsulated in a crusty cornmeal shell, beef, potatoes and spices filled this appetizer. It was dry and tasted more like a mild ethiopian empanada with mushed up filling. I will stick to my tea/coffee & the desserts.
