Dominique Ansel Bakery

So I was with a friend seeking out to find cronuts (donuts made if croissants). Apparently this bakery is one that sells the rare item & crowds gather early to be sold in 1 hour. In anycase, we settled for cold drinks & an almond croissant & DKA (Dominique's Kouign Amann, the round pastry). It's a flaky croissant-like dough with crunchy sugar outer coating. It tastes like elephant ear or otap.

The place is quaint. It is small up front, but has a glass encased, ac'd patio & an outdoor one. Perfect spot on a hot summer day to cool off. Too bad I missed out on cronuts.
