Cubao Food Court & Razon's
For the first time in my life, I took the LRT (train in Manila) to Cubao to visit Care Channels headquarters. Our destination stop was the huge Cubao mall near Araneta. Our team ate at the food court.
After going around for several minutes, I decided to go for chinese/filipino - Magic Wok and went for their lechon bowl. I wanted something small and yet with some vegetables. I don't understand, filipino dishes usually consists of vegetables but for some reason I'm finding in fast food places just meat & rice. My bowl was enough to satisfy my appetite and lechon was cooked pretty good.
A friend suggested that I try Razon's halo halo. It's famous for the way it is made locally. It had crushed ice, milk, some gooey stuff at the bottom & a piece of flan at the top. Hmm... it didn't do justice representing what halo halos are. It has been commercialized, my aunt told me. I think I like my nyc halo halos better.
