Woow mama! Empanadas!

When I was in Argentina, we were fed palm-sized empanadas. My fave is a mushroom and cheese filled one. Well 5 years later, I craved for those empanadas. Although, it's not the same, I head over to the closest I could find - Empanada Mama on 51st and 10th Avenue. This tiny Latino joint is famous for offering a variety of empanadas. Wanting to try something different, I ordered a Cuban empanada (roasted pork, ham, and mozzarella cheese in sofrito sauce - i guess that's the green stuff), and a Romeo and Juliet (guava and mozzarella). The Cuban had a little kick to it, even with the sofrito sauce. But enjoyed the sweetness of Romeo and Juliet. Overall, I'd go back to Empanada Mama when I crave for them.
