Eastern food in West Village
It always had long lines. It's a small store front called Mamoun's, famous for it's falafel and mid-eastern food. It was late evening and I haven't had dinner, someone recommended it to me. I opened the door and there were only a couple of people in line. The space was tight and their menu was busy. $2.50 falafel sandwiches... I opted for lamb shawarma as someone got me hooked into lamb. It was $5. Was it worth it? It was ok - over a flatbread - it was lamb meat, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce, over tzatziki sauce. It wasn't enough. I was still hungry...
