Calle Ocho, Little Havana
Famous street in Little Havana, which consists of bustling restaurants, shops for Cuban cigars, and a lively culture. The locals only speak Spanish so good thing my friend and I somewhat speak it. I couldn't resist visiting the famous Domino Park where many locals play a competitive game of dominoes. I also tried Cuban coffee and if I wasn't watching my sugar levels or caffeine intake I would be hooked into it.
The Uber driver recommended, since his wife is Cuban, Versailles Restaurant and Bakery in Little Havana and we have been talking about Cuban food. He gave us some pointers in ordering Cuban coffee and the types of empanadas. The place is always jammed packed and the food - ropa vieja, yuca fries, maduros, pernil, tamales, empanadas - authentic. Also, did I say almost everyone spoke Spanish? Felt like I was in a different country.
