Apothecary style serves organic flare

Holding meetings at cafes and coffee places have become an avenue to explore uncharted places of my love for coffee and couches workplace. On my way to a meeting, I passed a glass door that seem to invite me into a trendy ambiance. I stumbled into Dr. Smood café. Smood is a play on words for smart food for a good mood. Dr Smood originated from Miami and offers organic sandwiches, snacks, drinks and products.

It's industrial interior décor sets the ambiance of a modern apothecary. Their East 41st Street branch in New York City, has a first floor seating area with a second floor loft for a more private space for meetings and workstation. Their couches provide what every modern traveler/New Yorker needs - an electric socket to charge the phone. Although low lighting ambiance and the music was a little bit on higher volume, spot lights and the couches were enough to hold meet-ups or just to work.

Since it was still morning, I ordered a healthy breakfast (what they have left of something light) of "organic oatmeal", which had maple, almond milk, ginger and pecans for a nutty taste. I also ordered their white ginger tea, a blend of ginger and Asian taste. Organic taste for an organic price.
