Flying High: Emirates & Dubai

Known as one of the best airlines in the world (the airline that boasts of its luxurious show build in the plane), I flew to Zambia via Dubai with Emirates Airlines. So how is Emirates really?

As soon as you are seated, flight attendants hand you a kit (nice as a pouch for your documents) filled with ear plugs, an eye mask, color matching toothbrush and toothpaste, and socks. Also there is a sticker that you can place on your seat to indicate flight attendants to do not disturb you while sleeping, wake you up for meals or duty free. They also hand you the menu served on your flight.

How is the food?
From NYC to Dubai, the food was pretty good. They serve 2 meals and a snack (pizza). For lunch/dinner, we had a choice of palak paneer (cheese cubes in spinach sauce) or chicken. I chose the chicken in mushroom sauce. The sauce was a perfect balance for the mashed potatoes. Bread was soft. For dessert, a chocolate mousse brownie. The brownie was sweet and the mousse part had a buttery taste. Dessert definitely compliments tea/coffee without sugar.

In flight entertainment... latest American, Indian, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Middle Eastern movies are available. There is more selection during the flight from NYC to Dubai than all the other trips. I think I am up to speed with the movie shows.
